Terms of Service
The terms of your subscription: plans, billing, renewal, cancellation, fair use, copyright complaints and how we keep your data.
Last updated: October 22, 2026 · version en-1.0-draft
These terms cover the subscription. What you may do with the files you download — including selling the parts you print, with no unit limit — is set out in the File License Terms (PDF, v1.0), which you accept when you create your account. The license document is currently available in Portuguese; a summary in English is in section 9.
1. Who we are
STL Prime at stl-prime.com is offered by [US COMPANY NAME], a [ENTITY TYPE AND STATE OF REGISTRATION], registration [REGISTRATION / EIN NUMBER], located at [STREET ADDRESS], [CITY, STATE ZIP], [COUNTRY] (“STL Prime”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at [support@stl-prime.com] or through the contact form.
By creating an account or subscribing you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
STL Prime is a subscription for access to a catalog of 3D print files (STL, 3MF and, on some models, STEP) that we print and check on our own print farm. You do not buy individual files: you subscribe to access the catalog within the limits of your plan.
Some models are free and available to anyone with an account, without a subscription. Accepting the file license is required for those too — it is what authorizes commercial use of the printed part.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to subscribe. Your account must hold accurate information and is personal and non-transferable. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for activity under your account.
The Farm plan may be used by up to 3 identified team members of the same business. Otherwise, sharing an account is grounds for suspension under section 11.
4. Plans and prices
Current prices. US dollar prices are shown before sales tax; euro prices are shown including VAT. The checkout page shows the exact total, with any tax, before you pay.
| Plan | Monthly (USD) | Yearly (USD) | Monthly (EUR) | Yearly (EUR) | Unlocks/month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maker | $12.00 | $120.00 | €12.00 | €120.00 | 10 |
| Business | $19.00 | $190.00 | €19.00 | €190.00 | unlimited |
| Farm | $79.00 | $790.00 | €79.00 | €790.00 | unlimited |
An unlock releases one Prime model from the catalog to your account. The Maker plan includes 10 per calendar month (counted in Brasília time, UTC−3). Unlocks are permanent: what you unlocked stays available while your subscription is active. Spending an unlock always takes an explicit click — it never happens just by opening a page.
We may change prices. If you already subscribe, we will email you at least 30 days in advance, and the new price applies only from your next renewal. You can cancel before it takes effect.
5. Payment and taxes
Payment is by card through Stripe, on a checkout page hosted by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s page and never pass through or are stored on our servers. See the Privacy Policy.
There is no free trial: the first charge is made when you subscribe, and later charges on the same date each month or year. Free models never require a card.
Where applicable, sales tax (United States) or VAT (European Union) is calculated by Stripe from your billing address and shown on the checkout page. Business customers in the EU may enter a VAT number there.
Access is granted once the payment is confirmed, normally within minutes. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it; if it remains unpaid, the subscription ends and access to the catalog stops.
6. Automatic renewal and cancellation
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as you chose) and you will be charged the price shown at checkout, plus any applicable tax, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, online, in My account — no call, no email, no fee.
Cancelling stops all future charges and keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for. Except as described in section 7, we do not refund partially used periods.
Files you have already downloaded remain yours, and the license for parts you have already printed remains valid. What ends is access to the catalog: after the paid period, your account continues as a free account. Your data is kept as described in section 12.
Changing plans: a change currently creates a new subscription, without automatic proration. Cancel the old one before subscribing to the new one, or contact us and we will adjust it manually — nobody should pay for two plans at once.
7. Right of withdrawal and refunds
Consumers in the European Union, the EEA and the United Kingdom may withdraw from the subscription within 14 days of subscribing, without giving any reason. To do so, send us a clear statement through the contact form or by email to [support@stl-prime.com].
We extend the same 14-day period to all customers, wherever they live. We refund the full amount to the original payment method within 14 days of your request, the subscription is cancelled — no further charges — and access to the catalog ends immediately. Files already downloaded cannot be recalled, and the commercial license for parts already printed remains.
8. Fair use: the daily download limit
Each account has a daily download cap, which exists to prevent the whole catalog from being copied at once. It is generous on purpose: it does not limit real work.
- Without a subscription (free models only): 20 files per day.
- Maker: 80 files per day.
- Business: 300 files per day.
- Farm: 300 files per day.
The count is per file, resets at midnight Brasília time (UTC−3) and does not use unlocks: downloading again something you already unlocked is free, within the cap. If your operation needs more, contact us.
9. The file license, in short
The binding text is the File License Terms (PDF). In short: you may print the models and sell the printed parts; you may not share, resell, publish or give away the files themselves (STL, 3MF or STEP), in whole or in part. If this summary and the PDF differ, the PDF prevails.
10. The catalog changes
We publish new models and may remove models from the catalog, for editorial reasons or because of rights claims (see section 13). There is no acquired right to a model you have not downloaded yet. What you already downloaded remains yours, under the license in force when you downloaded it.
We do our best to keep the platform online, but it may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. For a prolonged and significant outage you may ask for a proportional credit or refund.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, with notice, in case of:
- sharing an account or password beyond what the plan allows;
- redistributing the files — selling, giving away, publishing or passing on the STL, 3MF or STEP to anyone;
- attempting to bypass the technical limits of the platform, including the daily cap;
- payment fraud or a bad-faith chargeback;
- repeated copyright infringement (section 13).
You may close your account at any time through the contact form. What happens to your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
12. How long we keep your data, and when an account is anonymized
While your account is in use we keep its data — profile, subscriptions, payments, downloads and acceptances —, including after a cancellation, so you can subscribe again without losing your history.
An account with no paid subscription, no complimentary access and no activity (no sign-in, download or payment) is anonymized after:
- 5 years, if there was ever a payment — so we can answer any dispute about a charge;
- 2 years, if the account never paid anything.
We email you 30 days before; signing in during that time keeps the account. Before anonymizing we make a backup, used only to fix a mistake of ours and deleted after 90 days. You do not have to wait: you can ask for deletion at any time, as the Privacy Policy explains.
13. Copyright complaints (DMCA) and notice-and-action
We respect intellectual property. Models in the catalog are published through our studio and may include designs by third-party designers; reviews are written by users. If you believe any content on STL Prime infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512):
DMCA agent: [DMCA AGENT NAME]
[DMCA AGENT ADDRESS]
Email: [dmca@stl-prime.com]
Phone: [DMCA AGENT PHONE]
Your notice must include (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
- identification of the material on STL Prime you claim is infringing, with enough detail to locate it (for example, the model’s web address);
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material and notify the person who provided it. Counter-notice (§ 512(g)): if your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our agent a counter-notice with your signature, identification of the material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake, and your name, address, phone number and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, outside the U.S., any district where we may be found). Unless the complainant tells us within 10 to 14 business days that it has filed a lawsuit, we may restore the material.
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may make you liable for damages (§ 512(f)). We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of repeat infringers.
European Union: under the Digital Services Act you may also report content you consider illegal, of any kind, by writing to [dmca@stl-prime.com] with the reasons, the exact location of the content, your name and email, and a statement that the report is made in good faith. We will review it diligently, tell you what we decided and how to contest the decision.
14. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Models are tested on our farm, but 3D printing depends on your printer, your filament and your slicer. The “farm-tested” seal means we printed and checked the part with our machines and materials — it does not guarantee an identical result on yours. Always check the first part before printing in series, and do not use printed parts in safety-critical applications.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer in your country of residence.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least 30 days in advance, and the date at the top is updated. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW, e.g. State of Delaware, USA], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim in its courts.
